Miltech Hellas S.A has signed a contract to manufacture Air-Towed Targets and supporting equipment for the AGTS-36 Aerial Gunnery Target System of Meggitt Defense Systems, Tustin, USA, for the Hellenic F-4 and F-16 A/C. The contract consisted of TDK-39 Arial Towed Targets, Visual Augmenters, Tow-Reel Cradle and Workstands and was successfully completed within 2001.
The AGTS-36 suit is a complete system designed specifically for aircrew combat readiness training in air-to-air gunnery exercises. AGTS-36 consists of state-of-the-art equipment to meet all modern fighter aerial gunnery training requirements. With +6g load capability, tow aircraft can be flown in racetrack, figure eight, butterfly and high-angle combat dart patterns.
